2.0 Audio on HD300 and Client Prop File
UPDATE: I fixed my problem. The Extender volume was at 0, and I wasn't noticing it! Duh. Now I appreciate how my AVR handles Direct audio signals even better. Sorry, I don't see how to delete this. Maybe it will help future dummy me when I search for it.
I am hoping for a bit of help.
Question: given a list of many extenders, how can I figure out which property file relates to the one extender that I need to fix?
Alternatively, is there any property that could have got flipped that I can change that would affect sound output (and my problem)?
Background: I have many extenders, and one HD300 recently started having a problem playing audio from files encoded with 2.0 audio (all normal tv recordings are fine).
After searching around, I see deleting the client property files is one way to fix this. I tried it and it worked - but I had to temporarily remove ALL extender files since I don't know how to ID the one with the problem. The problem is I don't want to have reconfigure ALL my extenders, and it's not obvious to me how I can locate the 1 problematic extender in the list of files (of course I do see the files are uniquely named). I also don't really want to reconfigure the problematic one, but I'll be happy to do that to fix the audio issue.
Does this make sense?
