Fox Sports Live
so, four months after they went to air, Fox Sports (the network) has seen an increase in numbers and a general increase in opinions.
However, and I imagine I'm in the minority, Fox Sports Live, the nightly program, is just too much talk, not enough hilites. I'd be happy if they took the four washed-up athletes and the blonde and just sent them packing. One hour of hi-lites and no chat would be AOK with me. At least Jay & Dan are somewhat funny, but that panel stuff...snooze-fest

Jay & Dan... imports from Canada! Youtube some of their stuff from their days with TSN up here. They had a little more "artistic freedom" up in these parts.

I actually like the combo of Velocity/NBCSN better than Speed now that Velocity has Fifth Gear

Truth is, if you step back and take a break from Sportscenter, and then watch it again with "fresh eyes", you'll see that it's waaaaay too much talk, too. The top one or two stories typically take 15-20 minutes of the hour, and it's not exactly all highlights. They'll bring in multiple "experts" to give various opinions about various aspects.
I never noticed it until I cut the cord six years ago. I would go to the gym in the morning and get on a treadmill in front of a TV with ESPN to catch up on the scores and highlights from the night before. It appalled me, how much filler there was! Talktalktalktalk...... And then of course, they've filled up the evening "news hours" with shows that are intentionally nothing but talk and yelling. It sells, apparently, or shows like "Around the Horn" and "PTI" and anything with Jim Rome would not be on the air. The other thing (and this is true with all sports networks, major networks, etc.), all the so-called experts are more wrong in their predictions than your local weather person... and, just like the meteorologists, there's absolutely no repercussions. They don't mention being wrong, they just move on. If they apologized every time they were wrong, there wouldn't be time for any highlights at all. The only way they get fired is if they say something "insensitive" or get caught in a sex scandal. /vent

When you out pick Bob McKenzie, you're forced into early retirement at TSN! That monkey knew her stuff!
