Help - Movies no longer finding meta data

First of, THANK YOU for building the BMT tool. I have been actively using it since BETA and it has worked wonderfully. As with most things, you just need to pay attention, install it correctly, and it works great.

I have hit a snag though, as it stopped finding metadata for Movies. TV shows work, but as of about a month about both automatic and the BMT website can no longer find movies.

I have updated Java, reinstalled BMT and Pheonix, cleared out BMT and Pheonix settings, and i can find the answer.

I have never tinkered with the settings much with Pheonix settings, so the "Movie Metadata Providers" still reads "imdb, tmdb". when I attempt to find metadata through the website by selecting, in this example, a DVD that i missing metadata, in the search options there are five selections:

DVD Profiler, htbackdrops.com, IMDB (Xbmc)--(xbmc.xml), MyMovies, thetvdb.com.

I don't see tmdb or Imdb which i really thought used to be there. Either way it aways finds nothing. both through the website and Sage GUI.

Is there a way to edit the above list?

Does anyone have any suggestions of what to try?

Thanks in advance for your help in troubleshooting this. I am not ready to part with my Sage implementation just yet!!!

If you are not seeing TMDB in the list, then it is most likely because the provider experienced an error when it was loading. I'd verify that you have all the latest plugins installed, and that you are using Java 7.

Do a fresh restart of the sagetv server, and then check to see if tmdb shows up in the list. If not, then email me the logs. You can use BMT, Help -> Create Support Request to create the zip file.

I have reinstalled all the plugins and I now see themoviedb.org - (tmdb) in the drop down list for manual searching, however when i attempt to search it immediately says "no results". I have upgraded to Java 7 - 45. I have rebooted the server. I am usually good at figuring this stuff out, but i just can't seem to find the solution.

Thanks for your help.

I am sending the *.zip file with logs, etc. shortly.

thanks.

Came here to report this same thing. I don't know when it happened but I went to clean up my movie library today and TMDB is missing form the list where it normally is.

Had not made any changes to Sage and it had been up for about 2 weeks straight. Rebooted, restarted SageTV. Only thing I didn't do is update Java to 45 but it is on Java 7. I'll update Java as soon as I can take this server down again.

I can provide logs, should I send them to the email in Help -> Create Support request? Or should I hold off till I can update Java?

Thanks!

Edit: Updated to Java 7 release 45 and problem fixed!

RESOLVED - however i am not sure why

I basically had to fall back to a backup of my sagetv install as of last August and then reinstall all the plugins. I think it was a JAR problem, but i could not track it down. I think it was the metadataUpdater.jar was not updated correctly, until i fell back and tried again.

oh well... tool still rocks though! Thanks!
