ArcSoft Total Media Extreme won't uninstall

I'm trying to start over with my HD-PVR, but I cannot get the Arcsoft Total Media Extreme 2 to un-install so I can re-install. I've tried the uninstaller in Win 7, and CCcleaner. But, when I have tried to reinstall from the HD-PVR disc, I get a screen that asks me if I want to repair, etc. None of the options worked. I've run hcwclear from Hauppauge, etc....

Any suggestions?

If no one else has a suggestion for you and as a last ditch effort: Reinstall the OS and get an image backup of the disk. Then in the future it will be easier to restore. Actually I would get several images. One before any programs are installed and one after everything is installed and working at least. Makes it much easier to go back that way but does eat up space.

If you do go this route back up your wiz.bin file first so that you can get back your favorites and watched status. Start from scratch with properties.

Thanks for the suggestion. I knew that would be an eventual solution.

What happened to me was the Picture Quality in my HD-PVR's fell apart when I went in and played with the Total Media Extreme2 software. They had some picture quality settings in that software, and when I set them, well, things went haywire in my HD-PVR's.

I'm not sure where I went wrong with that software.

But, I adjusted my search request in these forums and found this thread concerning setting HD-PVR picture quality inside the Sage TV properties file:

And that has solved my problem and saved me hours of work!!!!

I would like to thank the Sage TV community once again for being an endless font of knowledge.
