Move recordings automatically?
Hi anyone who's still here,
The primary hard drive on my venerable WHS v1 machine has failed, so I'm building a new box for Sage and other home server use based on Windows Server 2012. Fun! I'm using Storage Spaces to manage my storage, with a great big Parity space for all my Sage recordings (and ripped DVD's, and home video, and...). I'm in the process of filling that pool with existing recordings, and it's taking an awfully long time (as I've read about the write performance of Parity spaces). Will the Parity space be fine for recording performance on an ongoing basis, or should I set up a small partition for recordings and then periodically move them to the big pool -- and if so, what's the simplest way to implement that?
