I'm using TW digital cable in NYC. The living room TV has the STB. I have a PC in a bedroom with sage on it that I'd like to use as a secondary tv.
Plugging in the coax straight into the PVR250 just gets me the basic cable channels (13 or so). So, what I tried was splitting the TV-out on the back of my STB, running one to the TV and the other to the PC. What I get now is the PC being stuck on whatever channel is being watched in the living room. Is it possible to have the two displays watching seperate things? I know I could when I plugged in the coax direct, but then I only had the basic 13 channels instead of the 300+ I should be getting. Any help? thanks. |

As I asked on the other forum -- if you plug your cable directly into the TV, how many channels can you get? That's how many channels you should be able to receive by hooking the cable directly to the PC w/o going through the converter box.
If you want both the TV and your PC to receive all channels & have separate control over what is being watched on each, you will need 2 converter boxes. - Andy
