Need help with transferring recording to new machine
So I am working on getting a new server set up. The problem is I am reusing hardware.. my Current WHS V1 (Quad Core) will be reused for a Win7 Pro x64 machine for sage and I have a Dual core machine that will be my WHS 2011 Machine.
I am planning on moving the win.bin with all my info but some of the older recordings may not get added right away due to hard drive juggling, will this be an issue? can I set up a machine and get it running and recording new material then when I get everything moved to the drives in the Win7 machine can I do the advanced_video_file_recovery tag and have potential new and old recordings all show up without too much issue? or do I need to have the shows all there when I first get it set up?

As long as the filename still contains the sage ID number, sage will recognize it and reattach the file's new location to the entry in the wiz.bin. Even if not, if it was recorded with v7, then it has the appropriate information stored in the recording, that sage can read out and add into even a new wiz.bin file. starting with v6 i think, sage no longer purges recording information from the wiz.bin, even if it thinks the file is deleted, so that the files can be removed, and placed back, and sill have their information.

Also, the web interface plugin has an option to change a "video" to a "recording". I had to do that to 1 or 2 shows on my dad's machine.
