Trying to get recently add movies
I had this flow setup once before but I switched to 64 bit win 7 and reinstalled sagetv 7 and am trying to recreate the flow. I select list flow and name it recent movies. I pick Movies as the view and the view options or filters doesn't give me any option for recently added. ?

In the Views right under Movies, you should see one called Recent Movies. That should work for you.

After I posted this I restored my drive to the 32 bit install and looked at the flow I made there for "Newest Movies" is wht I called the flow, I checked view and recent movies is the option I picked and it gave me what I wanted. I then reverted bak to my 64 bit install and under view recent movies is not listed as an option. Is there a way to refresh the list of available options? is this a 64 bit related issue. I reinstalled sage twice on sunday thinking I had done something wrong because of the missing option. I also noticed that when I try to prebuild the cache , the system shows 0/0 and sits there and does nothing. I have to terminate the sage task and restart.

I am guessing you are seeing 2 different issues but may need more info from you. I run on 64bit Windows 8 and 7 with no issues.
Let me know what Views are listed for selection as Recent Movies is a base Gemstone view that gets installed normally. However, one of the last phoenix core release made some changes to how the vfs's (which are Views in Gemstone) are loaded and there was an issue reported on fresh installs here. For the caching issue... I assume that Gemstone/Phoenix is having issues writing to the SageTV/userdata subfolders where the cache is stored. Check that out and make sure the cache is being created and that the file permissions are correct. k |

I found a different way to diplay what I want so I'm no longer concerned about not having the recent movies option, But I still can't prebuild the cache. I probably shouldn't be concerned about it because all covers and backgrounds and metedata show fine. When I use thw eb browser it can't get the pheonix or sage status. I made sure my folders had he right permissions. I looked at the gemstone log and it just says it started properly, but the sage log shows pheonix loading problems and I'm not sure why. Could you take a quick look at it and tell me if I should post elsewhere or what the problem might be?

That didn't help....so go into options from the main menu, then utilities, then logs and turn on the debug level and then restart sage....then upload the Phoenix and gemstone logs from the sagetv logs folder

I turned on debug and clicked to prebuild cahce. It stays at 0/0. Here are the logs. The gemstone log show nothing.

It looks to me from the logs that you did not delete the cached views file so that phoenix could rebuild it...or if you did then some other issue is preventing phoenix from loading the gemstone vfs file.
- Delete the file userdata/Phoenix/cache/vfs-cached.xml - in Gemstone Main Menu selection Options, Utility Functions, Re-load Views. Then the cache should work and the recent movies (and all other) views should be available. k |

Thanks! the recent movies view is there now and it is prebuilding the cache as I am writing this.
