blank screen... no audio

i just got my sage tv bundle with pvr-250 roslyn installed, but i can't get video or sound.

i have the nvdvd decoder installed, and i have the source set to my satellite box... still nothing

p3 866, 256mb ram, aiw85000dv, winxp pro
output is 1080i through ati component adapter to panasonic widescreen hdtv
i can get video and audio if i plug into the ati card and use the ati app, but nothing in sage tv when plugged into the pvr250

Here's the first things to check:

How is the satellite box connected to the encoder card? (Which connection?)

Then, if you go to Setup -> Setup Wizard -> {Select your current source}... What is the Input Source listed as?

The source has to match the input you are using. Do they match?

Edit: Also, if you take a current SageTV mpeg recording, do you see/hear anything if you play it through some other program, such as MS's Windows Media Player?
