Those older errors look like bugs with the license server that have long since been fixed. The current error you posted earlier, that's the problem, but I don't know why only sdepg is getting that error and SRE isn't. I'd have to add some debug code to the sdepg jar file to try and track it down. If you want to pursue that, let me know next week. If you stay with the Sage EPG then I won't bother trying to track it down. Let me know...

FYI, I switched from Java 6 to Java 7 several months ago because of reports of security issues with Java 6. I've had no issues with SDEPG since switching to Java 7. Perhaps there is something different in my setup since I originally installed SDEPG and the license file when I was running Java 6 but I really don't think that's the reason everything is working fine on my system. Unfortunately, I have no idea why SDEPG is not appropriately recognizing the license file. The only suggest I can come up with is "Is there an email address you can use for the license file that has a more standard format, i.e. doesn't contain "."

There's no update in the works, I'm on summer vacation as far as my open source efforts go.
This problem appears to be some kind of issue with sagex or a bug with the core. I've whipped up a quick debug jar to hopefully shed some light on the issue. Stop Sage, copy your existing salicense.jar file to a safe place and replace it with the new jar inside the attached zip. Rerun an epg update and in the salicense.log file look for lines like the following: Code:
sagex says: xyz sagex2 says: xyz sage.SageTV says: xyz Validating email: xyz Edit: Heading back to the waterfront for the day... probably won't hear from me again until tomorrow, but post your results as these results should help me narrow down exactly where the problem is.

@gdippel Ignore the the dbg jar I created and be sure, instead, to read the update I make to this thread later today. You'll be able to go back to sdepg if you want to as the license server should no longer be an issue (stay tuned for details).
I wasn't sure I was going to remove the licensing completely until about an hour ago. I've been thinking about it for a few weeks now, but wasn't sure, which is why I created the dbg jar to begin with. I've now decided to go ahead and do that so by Tuesday morning you should just be able to upgrade the license server plugin and it will remove the need for license files, etc. and just auto validate everything as a lifetime license. Anyways, more details in the linked to thread later today.

Important licensing info
Please read the following. By updating the license server plugin, you can now unlock all features of this plugin. Enjoy!

Still a no go. I installed the new license server plugin. Re-installed schedules direct plugin, but I still can't get more than one lineup. BTW the choice for lineups are Time Warner Cable Digital Time Warner Cable Analog and Time Warner Cable R. The web server shows I have two headends configured, one for Time Warner and one for OTA. I tried reconfiguring by re-entering my password, no luck. I posted the last part of the sdplgin log.

Well we can now eliminate the license as the problem. So now open the sdjson.epg file in a zip viewer (it's just a zip file; copy and rename to .zip if necessary). Inside the lineups dir in that zip, how many files are there? Is there one named PC_yyyyy where yyyyy= your zip code?

Delete the sdjson.epg file and from the web ui force an epg update. Can I guess that you added the OTA lineup to your account after Aug 1? Either way, that should force a pull of the OTA data into the local epg file.

JSON Server hasn't updated since 8/7
Are they still working on the JSON Server? No epg data past 8/21 which makes sense if the server hasn't updated since 8/7. Also, Metadata is showing "null." I'm getting this info by means of the Sage web server.

Yeah, an update will be done sometime this weekend; it was actually to be done last night, but a bug was found last minute on the SD side, which is being worked on.
As for metadata, there are changes in the format of the metadata that will require a code update on my end, but I'm in the middle of packing, summer vacation, and then moving in a few weeks. I won't be able to make those changes until after I move. This only affects metadata (i.e. S/E data), everything else will continue to work. Once I implement the new metadata changes, we're going to see much, much more reliable/readily available S/E data, which I'm definitely looking forward to.

Has the issue with the Json server been fixed? I still have no data on the guide past the 21st.

I'm checking with slugger and will be running an update as soon as I get word back that the fix was effective. At that point I'll be able to get production back in sync.

Just checking in to see if I should be seeing the guide getting updated yet? Not seeing anything at my end and I forced an EPG update in SD epg plugin.
Thanks

Does this log entry mean a problem at my end, or the sdjson server end?
