video stutter and ups

I have been plagued with my video stuttering for the last few weeks. Tried everything I could think of, to fix it as i usually have smooth video play. I seem to have accidentally come across the culprit. Something I hadn't considered.
My UPS.
It had the red battery indicator telling me the battery was bad. Thought I would get around to it ... someday. Well the ups went to audible alarm, but by the time I went downstairs it stopped and I didn't realize it was the ups. Later that night the computer just shut down, bsod. Ups alarms again. So I pull the ups put a basic power strip in. Now the system is running great.
Hadn't considered the ups could be starving my computer for power. Giving the ghost like errors like a bad power supply.

So my take on this check if your ups is showing an alert. It just may be the culprit for a glitchy system.
