HD-PVR losing red every week!
Hey guys every week - almost like clockwork my HD-PVR loses RED color. It isn't a loose cable because to fix the problem I simply reboot the PVR itself nothing else. I am using component cables with my directv STB. Any thoughts? Is the PVR going bad? I have two more in the server that are working properly. This one is older and has been working well for a long time. This problem has started about three weeks ago.
Thanks! Neil |

The HD-PVR's start to do strange things when the power supply starts to fail. Maybe swapping power supplies with one that is working to see if that fixes it. Its a long shot, but its an easy test.

That is an interesting idea. I just rebooted the server and that fixed the issue (I didn't want to walk up to the closet to restart the HDPVR) but it appears that there is a couple ways to get it back to normal?
