What is the intelegance that IR use's? It seems to me that if I just watch a channel it automatically thinks that there is stuff that I want to have recorded. Is there any way to add my own options for IR on what I want to watch, or am I stuff in just always going through the schedule to record and selecting what I don't to don't like?

IR makes it's decisions on a lot of things, we've seen nothing official about exactly how it works (probably proprietary information), but based on experience it takes most/all of the show info (channel, genre, actors, etc.) and looks for things that are similar. If you haven't used Sage much there's not much to go on so IR records "almost everything." IR needs to be trained, by selecting shows you've watched and/or liked as Watched, and those you don't like as "Don't Like" IR becomes better able to figure out what shows you like and don't like and gets much better with time (in my experience).

So just keep doing what you're doing, and you'll notice that IR's choices will keep getting better.

To help 'teach' IR, I usually go through the schedule and mark the bad IR stuff as 'don't like' before it ever gets recorded. You could always do that after the show is recorded & not keep an eye on the schedule like I do. If you watch something & like it, make sure it is marked as 'watched' afterwards.

IR does get better the more you train it, but it still makes some wacky decisions at times.
