Firewire - need to know how to issue power on and other commands to STBs?
I'm using firewire to change channels on my two STBs, an Explorer 4250HDC and an Explorer 4640 HDC. Lately, Time Warner cable has been occasionally powering off the boxes and if on the same channel for an extended period, issuing funky "Click OK if you Wish to Continuing watching" messages. Has anyone been able to issue any commands via firewire to power the boxes on and to enter the code for "OK?"

My cable box can be set to wake up when it receives any commands, including the actual channel change, so check the options of yours...
