FYI - New Xcard drivers have been released

Hi,

Just a quick note for anyone owning an XCard - latest V2.0 drivers were released on the 16th May.

Biggest changes include more skins and DIV X3.0 finally supported !!!

Get it from www.sigmadesigns.com

I've not had a chance to try it with Sage yet (it might fix the audio problems). I'll let you know how it goes.

XCard V2 or latest SageRecorder doesn't fix the audio problems!

One strange thing though, when you update the Xcard drivers, the card no longer appears in the Sage Recorder list of decoders. BUT, if you pick default, the card is used!

SHS,

Are you using the digital audio output from the Xcard? If I use it with SageTV the audio level is too high, sometimes to the point of distortion. If I use the digital audio output with Xmedia Player the audio level is perfect.

Same problem here.

I reported it as a bug a while ago and Narflex said he has a method of fixing it which he's going to incorporate in a future release.

SHS,

Maybe that's the reason you don't get the SPDIF audio problems as you also have a sound card capable of SPDIF.

Maybe the Audigy is correcting the problems some how?

I'm using the audio directly out of the XCard without passing it through another sound card.
