No audio WinTV-PVR-350

I'm have difficulty setting up my WinTV-PVR-350 with Sage 2.0. I'm getting video but no audio. I formatted my hard drive and reinstall a clean install of XP, still no luck. I have a Dell Optiplex GX400, which has onboard audio. I tried disabling the onboard audio and install an SB Live. The audio worked for a while then Sage crashed and I had to reboot. since the reboot I haven't been able to get the audio back.

Are you using the hardware decoding on the 350? If so you must use the audio out on your PVR-350 and not your on-board audio, as it is doing all the decoding in hardware and by-passing your processor and on-board audio.

Which audio decoder and renderer are you using?

I've tried it with the "Hardware Decoding Only" set to both enabled and disabled - same result. I'm currently using the Sonic Cinemaster decoder but I've also tried the decoder that came with the 350. The renderer is set to default.

When using HW Decode only, do you have the 350's audio outputs connected to anything?

Yes, they are connected to the component jacks on my TV. I get video but no audio. I have confirmed the TV is OK by hooking a VCR up to the component jacks.

Are you using the RF input or the A/V inputs on the 350?

Have you ever had audio? Also, do you have some source so you could try one of the other inputs on the card?

One more thing, do you have it plugged into the correct input (one is for FM radio only).

I finally managed to get this working. I uninstalled Sage, the 350 drivers and the Sonic decoders then reinstalled everything. Whatever the problem was, reinstalling did the trick.

Thanks for your help.

I'm guessing it was the 350's drivers, but anyway, glad you have it working (espcially considering my only other thought was that the card was bad).
