There are no release notes. Can you give us an idea what difference these have over the ones posted by narflex?

Does this get rid of the colorbars with the registry entry for us 350 users?

It is very difficult to know if they fix anything if you don't know what they are suppose to fix. With the information I currently hare all I could verify is that the drivers don't break the 350 working in the same computer as type 16 250's.

Initial results look very good. I have been able to view two programs to completion with the 350 tvout enabled on the D865GBFL motherboard with no system lockups. I was not able to do that before. At this point I consider that problem corrected unless I post otherwise. So far I have only tested with SageTV 1.4. I will give SageTV 2.0 another shot when time allows.

That's great news, carlgar. Now I'm really anxious to try these drivers out when I take my system down Monday. Do you get the Sage GUI on bootup, or do you have to play a video first? Or did you even ever have that problem? That's a problem I have with both the beta drivers and the 22037 official drivers.
Thanks for the drivers, SHS. |

I have not yet verified the colorbar issue, since that is specific to 2.0. In 1.4 there is no user interface to expect, so I do have colorbars until I play something. I hope to get a chance to try 2.0 later today.

I have now upgraded to 2.0, results look stable. The colorbar issue seems to still be there, must play something before UI appears on TV. This appears to only be a problem when starting SageTV so just a nuisance.
The only issue I see so far is the inability to resize the screen or go to full screen. The default screen on my computer is too big and uses too much of my screen, hinders me from doing as much on the system as I would like. If I start SageTV 2.0 with 350 TV out and UI both disabled, I can resize the screen. I can enable 350 TV out and screen stays the same size. As soon as I enable UI on the 350 TV out I get the enlarged screen. Disabling the option does not allow me to resize the window. I thing this is a bug, but will start a proper thread for this after I get a little practice with SageTV 2.0.

I just installed the drivers over the XXXX037 drivers, and the colorbars are not present. I think if you upgrade, the colorbars stay off. Will test stability throughout the day.

mikejaner, did you have the colorbar problem with the 22037 drivers? Did these drivers fix your colorbar problem?
I agree that the colorbar problem on bootup is just a nuisance. What I should have mentioned in my previous post is the problem when deleting the currently playing file. When I delete the currently playing file (or the file I last played), I get the color bars and have to play something to get 350 UI back. I assume this is related to the bootup problem. This also is still just a nuisance, but a little bigger nuisance |

stanger and opus4, You seem to be missing the point. When I was using SageTV 1.4 I used it in three different modes. Granted I only viewed one at a time but I had a choice.
1. Primary use is on my TV using the 350 TV out option, SageTV 2.0 is great for this. 2. Secondary use is when I am at the computer console like right now. This browser window is currently covering part of the TV screen, because I cannot resize the TV screen. With 1.4 I never covered part of the TV screen, If was able to use the video always on top. SageTV 2.0 for some reason requires a much larger screen which it creates when the UI on the 350 TV-out is enabled. I could live with be able to disable the option and resize but that does not seem to work either. 3. The final method I use is the full screen on the computer monitor which was perfect for when I was in my kitchen. This is a loss of functionality in 2.0 for me.

zz5, while I have not yet deleted a file, I have noticed the colorbars come for a moment when changing between some screens. The colorbars also come up when I come out of the SageTV sleep mode.

carlgar, that's what happens with me too - you see the colorbars for a split second between some screens (for example, when beginning playback of a recording).
