Setting up channels from WinTV frequencies

Just got SageTV and it looks very promising, but I'm having problems with live TV.
I live in Dublin and I use NTL's analog channel setup.
I have all the correct frequencies for each channel and I have downloaded the correct xmltv information for those channels (it displays time and info correctly in the Guide)... but right now no live TV channel appears correctly in SageTV. All I get is static on each station.
What do I do to get these 2 seperate items to work together?
I tried having a look at the channel setup topic mentioned in one of the forums and I followed the steps there but there seemed to be huge chunks of information missing which left me back where I started. It mentioned naming the channels and re-ordering them but gave no clue as to what names or numbers should be used or how to find them.
Has anyone got the channel settings for SageTV for Ireland setup and working?

Yours frustratedly,
Paraic

I think you will find the answers you want in the Getting Static thread.
