Got the following error mesg.
UPnP Browser Error! Unable to find UPnP Device (PlayON), select this to try a longer server search (~5 minutes) (00:00:03)
It has been reported before, but it seem to me that the poster never got an response to his post
So if anyone has an idea howto fixit please let me know.

I just installed the plugin.

Any luck with this, I get this error from my SageTV server / extenders but not a sagetv client on a separate pc. Any thoughts?

Tried disabling firewalls everywhere with no luck and can see the PC with playon running from my server PC. I also tried loading playon on a different pc and still get the same error.

I intermittently get "UPnP Browser Error! Unable to find UPnP Device (PlayON), select this to try a longer" errors and have other problems with PlayON and SageTV. After fixing it many times, I found a permanent long term fix that works.

Get a Roku 3 and forget using SageTV and PlayON to stream Netflix and other things. The Roku 3 is only $74.86 at Sam's Club and switching to the Roku 3 will end the annoyance.

SageTV is great, but the PlayON interface has never been reliable.

Thanks, I am reluctantly still tryiing to make SageTV my one stop shop.

I actually pickued up a ROKU 3 refurb for about $60 on a Newegg special but I have been trying not to have to switch to another device to watch Amazon VOD. Also, I would need to invest in 3 to get on every TV in the house. But point well taken, SageTV PlayOn is a bit flakey to get going sometimes. Strange that the PC client has no issue but the server can't connect.

I've fixed this problem before by deleting the contents of the files/folders created by the UPNPbrowser. If you uninstall the plugin it does not clean up these files so you'd want to go in there and manually delete them.

That cleared it up. I deleted only the CACHE files, the rest seemed important to the plugin.
