350 Color Bars at startup

Finally got my 350 TV out to work, but it displays only colored bars when SageTV is first started. I have to go to the Live TV Guide and select a show before the color bars go away.

How can I get the OSD to display at program startup?

Thanks.

Bob.

What version of the 350 drivers are you using? The latest drivers from Hauppauge fixed this problem.

I am running the BETA release that allows both PVR-350 and PVR-250 to be installed on the same machine. Is there a setting somewhere?

I don't have any experience with that version. I'm using the latest official hauppauge driver. But I didn't have to do anything to get it not to display color bars. It just worked.

According to the release notes, the beta has everything that the Hauppauge drivers have. It is possible that if it was fixed then the new additions could have broken something.

I'm not sure if the new release broke anything, since I really haven't tried to run my 350 and 250 together on an earlier release. I'll verify the exact version that I am running tonight.

I also have that problem - color bars at startup. I have to play a video before the output works. I also have to replay a video if I delete the currently playing video. I'm using a VIA KT600 chipset. The problem occurs with both the latest official drivers (22037) and the beta multi-IVAC15/16 drivers. It's probably just the chipset. I have an nforce2 chipset I'm planning to try this out on soon.

Works fine with my on board nVIDIA nForce2. I have that set up as a seperate input on my tv, so when the 350 gives me the color bars, I can switch inputs and select a new video. There has to be another work around.
