PVR-350 OSD Intel Lockups.. any progress?

Hi,
It's been some time since I've seen any update on this problem ( PVR-350 with OSD on some Intel Motherboards experiencing lockups ) Currently I'm running tv-out through my video card but the reason I got a 350 in the first place was for tv-out with OSD and the picture quality is simply a bit better than my video card.
I am aware that Hauppauge is supposedly working on the driver but it's been a while since the problem was highlighted and it would be a shame if this problem gets benched. Anyone out there able to give us poor mortals some info on this one ?
Thanks
Aidan.

You may want to review the Hauppauge Beta Drivers for IVAC15/16 Combination thread. One Intel board user did state that they were able to use SageTV 2.0 without problems. I have a d865gbfl motherboard and have at least 1 very bad problem with both 1.4 and 2.0 version. If I play a program to the end it will lock my system. My other system which has a D845EBT printed on the board does not have the lockup issue. This issue is only related to using the 350 TV out option. If I disable it the problem goes away

From the little testing (D865GBFL) I have done with 2.0 and these drivers, the system is more stable. However, Sagetv TV 2.0 still does did not seem to work as it should with my motherboard.

Since my initial install of Sage Client 2 on my clinet machine, I seem to have more and more lockups on the PVR 350. My workaround which normally solves it is to disable 350 output and UI output to the 350, put the client to sleep, wake it up, enable the 350 again, then sleep and then wake, after which everything works again. Quite a pain in the middle of watching a show.

Lauren, are you sure about your link to the latest drivers? I believe you are pointing to the drivers posted by narflex. The actual latest drivers were posted by SHS in the New Hauppauge Beta Drivers for IVAC15/16 Combination thread.

Amazing

I don’t know what’s in the “pvr250-350_retail_1.18.021.22162_mix” drivers but now my 350 TV out, and 350 UI display works, Sage doesn’t hang at the end of recorded programs.
It just all works.

Asus P4PE-X 845 chipset, 2.4 P4 HT, 1 gig DDR, Radeon 9600 256meg, PVR 250-16, PVR 350, XCard, FusionII, Silverstone SST-LC03 case, Thermalright SP-94 cpu heatsink w/ 92mm Vantec Stealth fan, Nexus NX-3500 power supply.

Some PimpJuice maybe?

I've had great success thus far!! The only lockup I've had is when I switch fast_mux to false, the whole computer crashed at that point. After a reboot..after that, everything was working great. Well kinda, I then discovered I accidently deleted my GML file when cleaning up my desktop earlier in the day; now my remote isn't setup.

After installing the update, my 350 out is now working as would have originally expected! I have an i845 and up until I installed the aformentioned update, I also had the lockups, green screeen, etc.

Ya-hoo!

I upgraded to the 1.18.21.22162 drivers and so far the system is stable using the UI output on the 350. Although I have not completely testing all of the features I am very encouraged. The process I used to upgrade was to first set Sage TV not to open. Then I ran HCWclear. Then I rebooted and when I got the new hardware found I manually directed the wizard to the folder containing the new drivers. I then re-booted and go the UI on the monitor and color bars on the TV. The colorbars dissapeared when I played live TV. However they would appear whenever I made a channel change etc. I re-read the thread on this subject and decided to reboot again and after I did that the colorbars when away and have not returned.

As I said this is peliminary but very encouraging
