Thumbs up IR now doesn't seem to loose contact/require KB wiggle

Thanks to Opus4s work, my previous problem with the Client and IR loosing contact, in other words the remote quit responding, seems to be solved. Previously the remote would just loose control and do nothing. I'd have to open the drawer next to the recliner and just touch the RF mouse, remote back. Didn't seem to be just if hadn't been using Client and SageClient asleep, happened sometimes while watching something, remote would just die.

After installing Opus4s sendmessage util haven't had a single loss of remote. THANKS!
See:
http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...&threadid=5253

While the util was designed to control Sage when Sage not in focus, it seems to have solved my loosing remote even when SageClient in focus. (when watching something in full screen would still intermittently loose remote, obviously Sage had focus!)

Only been using the util and new remote ini since yesterday so time will tell if it's really the fix for loosing remote with Sage in focus, seems like it though.

Weren't you speculating that the wireless keyboard went to sleep & that prevented keyboard input from being allowed somehow? (I don't remember where that other thread is at the moment.) If so, this fits that scenario, since you are no longer trying to send keystrokes. Edit: I just found that post... and justme pointed you to this solution. No wonder I don't remember replying.

Yes, I made that speculation but hadn't gotten around to confirming it. HTPC 2nd from top in 7' tall heavy oak A/V tower, PITA to move to gain access to rear, so hadn't swapped the RF combo KB/mouse for wired KB/mouse to confirm. No need now!

Sometimes fixing one thing breaks another, other times fixing one thing fixes another and things just work out.
