Help - HD PVR won't tune?!

In the classic case of it was working and now it isn't... (I searched and can't seem to find the solution either). I have 3 tuners - a dual tuner HVR 2250 and the HD PVR. HD PVR controls my cable STB via the IR blaster that came with it. All was working just fine then all of a sudden last night it crashed on me and Sage couldn't see the HD PVR (wasn't even listed among the tuners installed). I have no idea what happened. Turned the HD PVR on and off, rebooted the PC and I can see the HD PVR again. I've tried the BlastCfg program and all the settings are as they were and it tunes to the channels I select. I tried the software it comes with to record part of a show, all fine.

So now I go back into Sage and the good news is the HD PVR is back as a source. However, when I go to change the channel within Sage, nothing happens. I know the IR is working since it will change the channels via BlastCfg. Anyone have any idea of what I should do to get it working again in Sage? I'm on version 7.1.5 if that makes a difference. Thanks!

well, as I said, some things you just can't explain. I rebooted a couple of more times, closed and open sage tave as well. And suddenly all is well again. No idea what went wrong but I'll take it!

Just a word of caution -- when the power supply starts going (others have said it's a capacitor issue), the HD PVR starts acting a bit flaky before it totally crashes. If you have more issues in the following months (e.g., driver not found on reboot, etc.), it is probably the power supply, which is easily replaced. I scrounged one from another device (Buffalo ethernet converter) no longer in use.
