Multi User Interface

New Sage user here transplanted from Snapstream. So far it's been great, but one thing I don't like is the watched flag and auto-deleting of watched shows. With more than one person using "Tivo Sr." as we call our beloved Sage Box it's frustrating to see shows deleted early simply because the other person watched it and Sage took that as an opportunity to free up some space. We are working around it by clearing the watched flag if we remember and disabling IR, but it's kind of a lame situation. I know we can also setup manual deletion, but it's not an option either of us care for.

Anyway, has Sage ever considered adding multi-user environment? Users could be setup for each person using the box. After being idle for a set amount of time Sage could display the user login screen. Then each user would have shows they like sorted near the top and as shows are watched they would be moved to the bottom of their list. Each user could even hide certain shows from their list if they don't care for it. Shows wouldn't be deleted based on the watched flag unless all users have watched it.

Not sure how difficult this would be to implement, but think it would be pretty cool and yet another thing to set Sage apart from it's competition. If it's impractical, then please allow us to disable the watched flag in setup or the properties file.

Thank you.
