possible migration / replacement route android client, sage/nextpvr backend

I'm looking at the Android boxes that can do 1080p -

there's a client for sage tasage, and a client for nextpvr

before i start spending money on something anyone been here already...

I'd also need to rig some remote control of the android box, but that looks doable, once it's rooted....

Raspbery PI might be up to it or these and loads of others about http://www.geniatech.com/pa/android-tv.asp

am going to try this out on the kit i have already and see what works.

This looks quite nice.. The specs & price at

are impressive.

Another option could be a Jailbroken ATV2 running Plex.

I wouldn't recommend that, the streaming on Android sucks. I kept hoping for the native streaming to improve or for some third party to provide some hooks for that, but that didn't really happen.

Now with some Plex client, where they provide the server/client to stream, that's a different story.
