Anyone Have a Bad HD200

I have changed the heatsink on the processor with a NB heatsink I found on an old Motherboard and wired a 120mm fan from the power input. And the unit seemed pretty stable. I didn't stress it but it was left on for a day and was found still working. Then I powered it off. I tried liquid cooling the processor and supprisingly it still went blank after 2 or 3 mins. After that I've found keeping the rubber piece in between the processor and heatsink works better than paste. So I'm really not sure if the paste used with the liquid cooler maybe just needed to be worn in or whatever its called, but I didn't try liquid with the rubber. I put the cooler into a computer I was building so I can't really test with liquid cooling again right now.

So far mine is working but with the top off, new heatsink, and with a 120mm fan. The plus is the 120mm fan can be soldered right to the power input, which I probably shouldn't recommend, but that's what I did. I'm going to customize the fan into the cover and that's my solution. Unless someone can figure out what the exact problem is.

Thanks for your valuable input. I plan to do some testing with a giant box fan to see if that cures mine. If so, then I'll likely do a mod similar to what you describe. Thanks again for your valuable feedback.

So I did my experiment with the box fan and it solved the problem. I am going to research adding a fan permanently to the box. Thanks for the info.
