Channel lineup lost from EPG server!

I got this system message tonight

The lineup "Rogers Cable Inc. Digital - Toronto (Metro)" no longer exists on the EPG server. Updates to this lineup will no longer occur.

Should I send support message to Sage?

You should need to redo your EPG sources and find the new lineup.

I just lost a second related lineup.

The lineup "Rogers Cable Inc. Digital - Toronto (Scarborough)" no longer exists on the EPG server. Updates to this lineup will no longer occur.

These lineups still exist at Z2i but I haven't had another chance to check Sage out to see if it still has these lineups. It would be VERY annoying if I have to go through and redo my lineup which means enabling or disabling hundreds of channels.

I lost my "DISH - Fresno" last night. Is this behavior to be expected moving forward with all EPG sources?

Reading this thread makes me want to turn off the auto EGP update (due to happen in just over 8 hours...) Any way to do that?

I took a look at this on the EPG servers and it seems like one of them got out of sync on the lineups for a day for some reason (I'm going to look deeper to be sure to see exactly why). This problem should correct itself automatically within the next 8 hours. So you can clear the message at that point and then if it comes back again; let us know.

This should cause you no actual problems though.

I am now starting to get these warnings for my OTA lineup so it looks like there is still a problem here.

Looks like I reactivated that server a little too soon....I'll be sure it gets to the proper point again before I re-enable it. You can safely clear the error. If it comes back after tomorrow, then please let us know.

I had lost all my guide info after 7:00 pm today on my Rogers Cable lineups ... I use this lineup over 6 tuners ... It stopped updating on Jan. 30 and I never noticed.
I could not get the lineup to update no matter what I tried.
So I removed all my tuners and tried to add them back in but it 'waits' at getting guide data and will not go any further ... So I am left with a system with a broken guide.
My Postal Code is N3T0B4 and I am trying to use the Guide Data for both of the Rogers services there.
These have worked flawlessly for me for many years.
Can you help me?

Dwight

I still have data on Rogers with two lineups (Toronto-Digital and Scarborough-Digital) through Feb 24 so it isn't a global outage. Perhaps things are still a bit flaky with their EPG server(s).

Check your postal code with listings for Rogers at Zap2it. That is the same source that Sage uses so if that is good then it is definitely a Sage problem.

You can contact Sage support by clicking on the logo above - they are still alive.

You could also try another postal code. I believe (although I have never tested this) that Rogers uses pretty much the same lineup for the digital range (channel 100 and higher) but I have never tested that. But if you have six tuners I am guessing that you have some tuners using Rogers' digital range.

Thanks Wayne ...
I removed all my tuners and rebooted my WHS.
Added the tuners back in one at a time and redid all the channel lineups.
The guide populated fine now ... Weird ... I haven't seen this behavior before ... Something must have changed with the guide servers I am guessing.
So now I am showing guide data to 2/24 ... Whew!
This just reaffirms my belief that life without SageTV might not be worth living ... Well at least TV won't be worth it anyways ...

So it looks like I am fine now ...

Dwight

Good to hear - their servers have been misbehaving in the last couple of weeks - hence this thread.

There are backups when/if the Sage EPG service stops so we should be ok.

Just got the "Channel Lineup Lost from EPG Server" error on all my lineups this morning. Not sure if this is maintenance, or a server problem, but thought I'd report it regardless.

Ditto...
Comcast Union/Verona Digital - Verona
Comcast Union/Verona - Verona

both are apparently dark.

edit:
note my guide is populated all the way out to 3/9 @ 7pm. I'll check on it again in a day or two to see if it expands out from there.

Ditto for "Digital Broadcast - 23116" and " Comcast Digital - Richmond"

From my logs, I see:

Code:
Tue 2/28 9:07:59.807 [EPG@833a2d] EPG attempting to expand Digital Broadcast - 23116
Tue 2/28 9:07:59.807 [EPG@833a2d] expand called on Digital Broadcast - 23116 at Tue 2/28 9:07:59.807 expandedUntil=Wed 12/31 19:00:00.000 scannedUntil=Sun 8/17 2:12:55.807
Tue 2/28 9:07:59.807 [EPG@833a2d] EPG Expanding Digital Broadcast - 23116 at Tue 2/28 9:07:59.807
Tue 2/28 9:08:00.003 [EPG@833a2d] WarlockRipper logged in OK.
Tue 2/28 9:08:00.646 [EPG@833a2d] WarlockRipper got 0 channels
Tue 2/28 9:08:00.646 [EPG@833a2d] WARNING--EPG Server no longer has channels on this lineup. The channel list will no longer be updated!
I was worried that I got banned or something from hitting the "force EPG update" button 5 times in 24 hours, trying to hunt down the re-scheduled Fox programs from last night..
