Ill have to do some investigation and see if some things changed with the way plex is storing metadata in the container. Ill look at this as soon as I am able to get a free moment.

The funny thing about this is that In sagetv there is a description for the shows..... but not in Plex

OKAY, well as i mentioned in my original post if there is info in BMT/sagex, then most likely there is an error in the callout to sagex to retrieve metadata. In order to help, I would need the necessary logs (BMT Agent log, as well as scanner log)s that are produced upon scanning a new SageTV section. Without those i can't trouble shoot for you.. sorry.

I'll get you some logs tonight or tomorrow. I'm still using the SageTV Scanner / BMT Agent combo because the Plex Series scanner doesn't figure out all the local shows (e.g. Oregon Guide, Art Beat, etc on our local PBS station).

Here is a log... and a properties file for Arrow also Screen shot. If you look at the properties file it has a description. If you look at the screenshot there is no description. BMT also shows a description. The secobd screenshot is using the built in plex defaults.

I'm just trying to get plex up and running with sage to stream to my new notepad and probably other computers on my local network. I've done the install following the wiki instructions, leaving the ports unchanged from the install file. The scanner appears to find my movies (based on the logs), but nothing populates in movies or TV shows. When I try http://plex:plex@127.0.0.1:8083/sage...10870254-0.mpg, I get "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." suggesting that plex.js is not loading? If I use 8080 as the port, jetty reports HTTP ERROR: 404 Problem accessing /sagex/api. Reason: NOT_FOUND...

Suggestions?

You should update the username, password, URL, and port number to match your local installation.

Your localized URL for http://IPAddress:PortNo/sagex/api should work, assuming you have all the requisite plugins installed and running.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I tried a lot of combinations including: http://mylogonname:mypassword@192.16...10870254-0.mpg, http://192.168.1.99/... and http://localhost:8083... and port 8500

You shouldn't need to try all sorts of combinations. The webserver runs on one port, either the default or the one you changed it to. Find that port number and then use that port number in the URL I posted above.

Also, no sure but I wouldn't use IE to test the URL with either.

I finally got a chance to look into this. I think it is an issue with the Windows versions of Plex. Anyone that is willing, I have time today to do a little debug and work. Darci are you free by any chance to talk via gmail or gchat?

Still Testing, But here are some screenshots which show everything working again. Once i get this completely tested I will create an R4 code version and put it out on google. You will also notice that i figured out how to add a little gem in there, well at least i think it is a gem :-)

Scan is still running on my windows 7 64 bit machine, but I am happy to report that the metadata is being correctly populated unlike before. The screenshots i sent before are actually from my mac which i use for dev. fulltime server for plex is windows. So yeah all is looking good right now. I have to wait until entire scan is done before testing the plex theme music, but all signs point to that it should be working nicely. If all is well once scan is done. I will create a new package and ship it over to Darci for quick testing, or anyone else that woudl like. Once verified by folks I will put it up on the google code site.
