Finally have what I wanted!!!

I wanted to share my setup as I now have what I have been wanting for many years.

I started with Beyond TV and moved to Sage about 3-4 years ago. After the initial learning curve, I have been very happy with it.

I have the server in the living room where we watch the majority of our TV viewing. We watch Live TV on the TV itself. Sage is only for the recorded stuff or anything online. I have had the Media MVP boxes in the bedroom with some success but of course it was limited. I put a laptop in there and ran the client and that was fine, but had some minor issues with it as well.

I just bought a Roku XD and love it. We pretty much only use the bedroom tv for watching prerecorded shows or online content.

I run Playon server as well as Plex Media Server on the Sage server. I share out my video folders in plex. I loaded plugins for Plex and Playon onto the Roku. I also installed an icefilms addon that allows for viewing tv shows and movies online.

All is working perfect. The streams on the Roku are awesome. Playing shows recorded from sage thru Plex are excellent.

Yea I was following this and will be interested in it when it is completed. Just wonder how it will look on the Roku? Probably the same just list the additional folders.
