Time out on Popups and Menus?

Is there anyway to have a pop up dialog box (ie any options/menu items) time out so that if there is no input in say 20 seconds it clears itself? Same with the Program Guide. If you call up the Guide and and looking through it, it would be nice to have it return to the playing stream if there has been no additional input in say 20 seconds...

Not sure about popup dialog, but you can do that now with the EPG as of 1.8.1.

Just change:
mlbdude/epg_timeout=false

to true.

Be aware that Sage does not notice mouse focus as activity though but if you use a remote it should be fine. Though I find it annoying since I am slow and the timeout never seems long enough.

Don't sleep when executing another jukebox program?

MlbDude,

Is it possible to *not* let Sage sleep when launching and using an external jukebox program?

I launch into myHTPC for browsing and playing music, but confusion ensues among others upon exiting and finding Sage is asleep... Having disabled the sleep option with your STV, sleep has no meaning in my htpc world...

If it's not possible currently, perhaps you could consider making it an option in the properties?

Also, as an aside, what do I need to set/unset to make the "guide" button bring up the OSD mini-guide instead of the regular program guide?

thanks!

As long as you are in the Enhanced OSD, the Guide command will bring it up by default.

Not Sleeping Sage when running another program that may use DirectX (as I do) will cause all kinds of problems. I may add a configuration option for it later.

Video Play List

Would it be posible to have playlist for video files similar to the playlist for mp3's

This would be great for putting my sons videos or TV shows on so I can just click it and it randomly picks one of his movies and goes?

or for even stringing my Anime shows together!

I can sometimes get stuff like that with the Intervideo decoder. What decoder are you using? I can't get it to do that unfortunately . Or fortunately .

Here is a new screen cap of the Video Details menu. Notice the new playlist control and also the first couple of elements (Title and Overview) imported in from a DVDProfiler XML export.

What are the most important elements other than those two you would like to see? Screen screen space is obviously an issue.

BTW, I know the content does not match the video, it was the only test XML file I had .

You mention in the Web page about your STV that the enhanced OSD is optimized for VMR9... As I'm running Overlay (read: NOT VMR9) on a rather old system, will I encounter problems with the E-OSD?

thanks!

No problems, it is designed with transparency in mind so in Overlay it may cover up too much video for your taste.

Should there be an icon for the Live TV menu item? There doesn't seem to be one for it with the default icon... does it at least look for a particular file name for an icon for it? Or did I just mess something up so that my client isn't displaying one?
