Updated Channel Logos For Changed Channels (e.g. VEL & H2)

Recently a couple of channels changed names and logos. The EPG data modified the channel names but the logos are still for the old channels. The two on my lineups that changed are HD Theater changed to become Velocity (VEL) and History International changed to become H2. The logos on the Zap2It listings for my lineups show the new channel names and logos, however SageTV has not updated to the new logos and still shows the old channel logos. Does anyone know if there is something we need to do to get SageTV to download the correct logs for the modified channels, or do I need to turn in a service request?

Assuming you are using Sage 7.1 or better, the channel logos are stored in the \SageTV\SageTV\GeneratedThumbnails directory on your server. Find the file(s) that correspond to the channels that changed, and delete them or rename them. The next time Sage needs to display the logo for that channel, it will not find it in the directory, and will go grab the channel logo from Zap2it over your internet connection.

p.s. Technically, the channel logos are retrieved over the internet from a server owned and operated by SageTV/Google. I'm not sure what mechanism or frequency SageTV uses to update their channel logo collection from Zap2it.

p.p.s. Another option is to store the correct channel logos in the \SageTV\SageTV\ChannelLogos directory. Any logos found in that directory will override the logos stored in the GeneratedThumbnails directory.

Thanks for the response. I tried deleting everything out of the GeneratedThumbnails directory, however it did not download the new logo. For VEL (Velocity) I got the old HD Theater logo again. I guess it is not pulling it from Zap2It since Zap2It has the correct logo but SageTV currently pulls the wrong one. The same is true for H2 which still pulls to old History International logo and not the new H2 logo that Zap2It has.

I know I could just override the logos with my own as we have done for years, but I thought that was the point of the update to download the data from Zap2It so we do not have to download our own logos. I guess it is not really downloading it from Zap2It.
