Editing Sage's MPGs...

My HTPC is in one room, and my box for editing/burning is in another.

Since I can no longer use nanoPEG editor for removing commercials & setting start/stops, what program should i use? i'd like to burn sports games onto dvds w/out commercials...

Take a look at Womble MPEG-VCR or VideoRedo, they seem to be the cream of the crop when it comes to MPEG chopping.

I use Womble MPEG-VCR and love it.

I'm also a Wombles user. It has never failed me. It is nondestructive, fast, accurate, simple to use and just plain awesome.

However I will say VideoRedo is quite competent as well. Personally, I'll stay with Wombles MPEG2VCR since I've used it since I got my PVR250 card. But as for all software, you should always try it yourself. Both MPEG2VCR and VideoRedo have trials(I think 30 days with both) so you have no reason to not try both. For some people the layout/look of VideoRedo may be more comfortable. However the main thing I think VideoRedo has going for it is that the developer is active and listens to his users, sorta like Frey with Sage. Where MPEG2VCR is a mature stable product and the developers have put their efforts into nextgen apps, like MpegVideoWizard.

Anyway you can't go wrong with either choice.
