Anyone else seeing this?

Attached is a short video showing what I see on my HD200. It does it both with the fractal graphics as with the other panning and fading textual elements.

Another small thing I noticed is that upon completion of the last track of an album Phoenix does not return to the main music screen. The last song's artist and track info keep going but no music since the song is over.

Yeah, that's the way Sage works - there isn't an indication when a playlist has reached it's end. I thought about changing that some, but haven't thought of a good way to do so. I'll keep it on the back burner though.

I have that green thing on one of my extenders also - I think I've fixed it, you can check in the next release to see if it's gone.

Am I missing something - I cannot find a way to quickly jump to an album... for instance I would expect to press 'L' to jump to music starting with the letter L as in 'Led Zeppelin'... Tried to find some sort of search menu but could not find that either...

What am I missing?

Looks great BTW

Is there a way to get back into the Music Backgrounds/timebar screen if you exit it during music playback?

From the landing zone you can get back - depending on which landing zone:
Cross : UP
Horizontal : LEFT
Vertical : LEFT
BOX : LEFT

This doesn't seem to work for me. I'm using Horizontal, and going left in the landing zone just navigates left through the TV/MOVIES/MUSIC etc choices then cycles around to the far right(EXIT) when passing TV.

Is there or will there a way to specify what sort is assigned to the MUSIC button on the remote? Currently, it defaults to ALBUM. I'd like it to be ARTIST. Any chance for that? Or, is it there and I just don't know it?

There is a hidden feature that might let you change the MUSIC button. There is a property called "phoenix/ui/musicjukeboxview" that specifies which view is used.

I must have added most of those after the last release.

Here's a fragment that you can drop into the "\SageTV\userdata\Phoenix\Menus" directory to add a 'Now Playing' item to the Music Menu.

Recent Albums

using the following to base a menu item called "New Albums"

Code:
		<view name="JW_recentalbums" label="Recently Added Albums" visible="true">
			<tag value="music"/>
			<view-source name="phoenix.view.source.music"/>
			<presentation level="1">
				<group by="album"/>
				<sort by="recentactivity">
					<option name="sort-order" value="desc"/>
				</sort>
			</presentation>
			<presentation level="2">
				<sort by="track"/>
			</presentation>
		</view>
what exactly is "recentactivity" tracking? it seems to show the newest imports, is that correct? will it somehow show something else or will that always work?

Next logical question

So...?! (that's a BIG "so")
now how do I get my main menu/landing zone to have the animated fade in/out background like the music? v.405?

This music addition is fantastic.

Yes I have that same thing on my HD200. Any fix for this?

*edit* sorry, missed bialio's response about the green thing.

Any chance of "New Music / Albums" or "New Music / Songs" on the Landing Zone like "New Movies"?

try this, I added it as "New Music" on the music menu

Code:
		<view name="JW_recentalbums" label="Recently Added Albums" visible="true">
			<tag value="music"/>
			<view-source name="phoenix.view.source.music"/>
			<presentation level="1">
				<group by="album"/>
				<sort by="recentactivity">
					<option name="sort-order" value="desc"/>
				</sort>
			</presentation>
			<presentation level="2">
				<sort by="track"/>
			</presentation>
		</view>

I'd like to view music by folder?

I've got a bunch of music that is grouped into a folder structure. I realize this is old hat, but its make sense in my mind, and I suppose acts almost like the genre in a meta tag. I would use browse by folder in diamond simply because I thought was the fastest and easiest way for me to access my musics. When I would browse by artist or album I had a huge list of possibilities and no easy way to quickly scan through the list to get exactly where/what I wanted. SageMC had a neat feature that I've missed where hitting to the right would bring up a dialog box allowing quick navigation of a list of artist or albums by alphabet- does something similar exist now?

Thanks for the hard work; its impressive, and beautiful-- big WAF, though I suspect there will be some growing pains getting used to the differences in navigation and selection.
