First impression: not a good start
Hi:
Got myself a PVR 250 today. Downloaded the trial version (1.2.8) of SageTV and have a very bad problem. My machine crashes each and every time Sage exits. I've tried different PCI slots, removing other hardware, reinstalling, different drivers for the PVR 250 and same results. The crash is frightening, since the machine completely reboots (no blue screen). The WinTV2000 software that came with the card does not produce this problem. My system is rock solid, no other applications and/or hardware cause a problem like this (and I do a lot with this machine). My system: Pentium IV 1.8 GHz, 512 MB DDR Asus P4PE Motherboard Using the onboard SoundMaxx on the board above Using onboard Ethernet on the board above ATI Radeon AIW 7500 w/Catalyst 3.2 Display Driver, Capture Drivers & Control Panel WD 20 GB + WD 120 GB Hard drives WindowsXP Home, SP1 DX9.0a, WME9 Misc.: Sonic 1.5 filters I cannot continue playing with Sage (much to my dismay) since I can't afford a file system corruption problem right now (too much effort has gone into this machine), so any help would be appreciated. Is there a stable Beta version I could try? Thanks. |

OK, so why didn't you just say it was the second suggestion on the easily accessible Troubleshooting page? ;^)
Updated Java RTE, no problem. |
