Hi,

This may be a silly question but.....

I have sagetv, I have a USB-UIRT, what I want to do is let SageTV change channels for its recordings and stuff but I don't know if I need girder for it as well

Any ideas anyone ???

Basically, you only need girder if you want to control other applications.

Yeah... as soon as I saw that new avatar, I finally put the "stanger89" name together with an '89 Mustang. Maybe you'll stop being called stRanger now!

Oh... and to stay on-topic... Like stanger89 said: SageTV can use the usb-uirt to change the channels for you. Girder may make your life easir, depending on what you want to do with your remote, but it isn't required.

Haven't done anything to it yet, been kind of busy with school and uncertain what I wanted to do. The previous owner should be shot though, they put Aquatreds on it. Here's the scary thing:
I've got an 89 GT, my dad has an 86 GT Hatchback, and an 86 GT convertable, and each have under 60k.

BTW, the first car I owned was a 84 Z-28.

Well I had a few other cars as well
95 Trans AM, 88 RX7 etc....

but just highlighting
My Dad's 84 1/2 annie was a convertible 5.0 (they also had turbo 4 cyl back then (SVO) in the annies.)
never was into the convertible thing though

Don't you ever drive those things?? My 87 'car' has 165k & the 98 has nearly 85k. Now, I realize those are not huge numbers compared to what others may have, but... under 60k for mid-late 80s cars!?

Well, my dad got his 86 HB brand new, and it was never a daily driver, we always had something more normal (read crappier) to drive day-to-day, and it get's stored over the winter. I got my GT in spring 99, with 38k I believe, and it had never been driven in the winter either so we just continued the trend with mine. Being in college mine's been parked for the better part of the last 4 years (plus the oil pan gasket was leaking). That's fixed now though, so I finaly get to drive it

Guess I'm just a little crazy with my stang, hell, I put 93.5 Octane in it

I remember something about a friend in college trying out some 100 octane that was available near the local airport... or at least that is what he said.

Even w/o that fuel, the thing got up to P miles per hour on I-70. In case anyone was wondering, P is that middle letter in MPH at the very bottom of the speedometer... which stopped somewhere around 120... at around the 4 o'clock position.

Note: This is not something I'm encouragng others to try! (I may be lucky to still be here...)
