Fwiw I went intel because AMD drivers have had issues with 3d playback from my reading. It has gotten better but not great. My sandybridge plays 3d content no issues. Now the amd is a bit closer on refresh rate at 24fps but it's still not perfect either (sad really that neither can get this 100% right).

I have two E350 Sage clients running currently. I do not use any 3D since I have serious issues with motion sickness when watching them. These two systems play all HDTV and most BR (locally, I have a network issue that I have not resolved). Power usage is 16 - 18w idle desktop and 26-28w BR. I have no doubt that all of these systems will be capable of 3D playback by years end.

Did you ever give ReClock a try to smooth out your 24Hz issues?
