Plugin: ADM - Another Dynamic Menu

I downloaded yesterday but haven't had a chance to play around too much. When I enable ADM it appears that Playon disappears from my menu. Is this just a case of having to manually configure the menus to show Playon as an option?

I installed this on my server but the 'install plugin' option doesn't show up on my HD200 or MVP. The plugin shows as compatible 'yes' on the details page. using sage 7.1.9. What am I missing?

It should already be on those. Just use the Options button on your remote from the Main Screen and then choose ADM options. Then choose to enable it.

And of course after enabling it, the menu would look like the original "stock" menu.

Then you have to make your additions (for any menu items created by other plugins), mods, hiding, etc.

I noticed that if I increase the general fonts in themes I can no longer see all the ADM manager options.... Maybe you can make that part scroll-able.

I am using the MBdiamond blueTwo green theme. See font change below.. btw this is on a 4:3 aspect

String/gFontStyleGeneral=Plain

Should be no trouble... I will add it into the next release that should be ready soon.

I just installed this and noticed that it removed the submenu under TV from the "Upcoming Movies" plugin and there doesn't seem to be any way to add it back.

Read the Wiki on the Copy Mode. http://code.google.com/p/sagetv-adm/...#ADM_Copy_Mode

Any Menu Items added by Plugins you have to add to ADM so it knows about it.
The EASIEST way is via the Copy Mode.

Print off that section of the Wiki so you have it handy for the first/second time you do it. After that, it'll be easy to remember.

Same thing happens for items like SJQ menu items, Restart Sage plugin Menu item, use the Copy Mode to get them into ADM.

Another issue: ADM doesn't seem to work with 3rd level menus? In TV>Recordings there are four submenus: "All Recordings", "Current Recordings", "Archived Recordings", and "Recorded Movies". I want to delete "All Recordings" and reorder the remaining three.

I think that is because Lvl 2 (Recordings) has a Sage SubMenu attached to it that actually creates those 4-8 views.

I have redone my menus so I have NO 3rd Level (except some of the Setup ) Menu Items.

What you can do is either to edit Recordings to NO for Show Menu and Create a Recordings menu item, then create items under that with Action Type = Launch Specific TV Recordings Views
Then you also specify the Recordings view you want.

You can see some how I changed the menus at http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56602 for some ideas. Although I have changed some it more based on WAF feedback. But the MAIN TV Recordings view we use the most is still on the TOP menu level.

You would have to Create the TV Menu from scratch start with a blank slate. The way I did it was under TV level 1 I created a blank TV2 and added Items 1 by one then when I was pleased with what I had I deleted the TV menu and renamed the TV2 menu.

And in the next version the default menus no longer use any of the Internal SageTV SubMenus (although they are supported). So ALL menu items can be deleted, hidden, edited individually.... and therefore displayed on the new Quick Launch Menu as well... coming soon!!

- New Quick Launch Menu (QLM)
- New Action Editor to make finding and selecting an Action for a Menu Item easier
- Malore Menus available as well as jumping directly to a Malore Alternate view
- All menu items can now be created as ADM items (no longer need any SageTV SubMenus). This was in support of the QLM feature.
- Dynamic Menu Items such as Music and Video Playlists
- A number of fixes too.

If the testing goes well I should be releasing the version soon.

Nice. I had tried designing my own Online menu but quickly found that one level in and all the items were part of a default SageTV submenu. Now I should be able to pull out only those items that I want and leave the rest out Thanks.

Great job I am exhausted trying all the different combinations... its limitless Malore menus work fine... I like the QLM. Looks ready to go.

I have installed ADM but I haven't bothered using it to customize my menus. Should I wait a wee bit until this new pre-release version is released?
