Prime 6 vs 3

I know I read somewhere the differences between the 6 & 3 was really nothing. The 6 is 500 vs the 3 is 250. So, if you buy two 3 tuner or one 6 tuner, it's the same price. Only thing is formfactor and you get the 6 tuner earlier than the 3 tuner (if you took advantage of the pre-order).

Am I missing anything or on the ball? I really thinking about cancelling my 6 tuner because not sure where GosageTv is going and not sure I really need the 6. Maybe I could use the 3 instead. What is everyone else doing?

I'm confused. Are there any plans in the works to even have support for that device in SageTV? I've read that it's not a direct replacement for the HDHR.

No more development of SageTV is going to happen. For the Prime to work with Sage there would need to be development done to the core of SageTV to support the Prime. That is not going to happen at this point.

Natively yes but I would be willing to bet DCT will work with unencrypted just like it does with Ceton

And anything COULD be made to work with a network tuner in sage, as long as it could be sage to a sage playable file, the network tuning system in sage will work for it (effectively, all it has to do is be told what channel to change to, and where to store the file).

Seeing how well the Colossus works for some people (NOT) I myself would hold off and let someone else be the guinea pig. Just my 2 cents. Unless you plan on using either Windows Media Center 7 or MythTV. I believe these are the only 2 programs that are actually supported and known to work.
