If you changed files in the storage directory, it can cause this (happened to me) , the solution is either returning the files that are moved OR delete the wiz.bin and wiz.bin backup files. If you cut those files somewhere else and then start Sage, it will determine that this is the problem.

> 70% CPU Utilization & Slow Response
Hi,
I have similar problem with the CPU utilization of Sage TV. It runs at about 70% CPU utilization at most time and I found poor reponse sometimes. Both situations happen when TV is showing and when it is showing as background in setting menu. Compare to Hauppauge's WinTV & BTV, which use about 25%, it is too high. My HTPC Specification: H/W: P4 2.4G, FSB533, 512MB RAM, ATI 9600 Pro, PVR250 MCE, 80GB x 2 HD S/W: WinXP Pro, Sage TV, FFDShow, ZoomPlayer Pro, DScaler, PowerDVD |

my specs are really close to yours and mine runs at about 15%
using overlay with nvdvd 3.0 reclock ffdshow audio adjustments and ac3 filter for audio I tried running ffdshow video and when my CPU ran like that my responsiveness of sage was extremely slow if ever |

Hi,
I changed not to use ffdshow and monkey around in detail DVD settings. Did it! The CPU utilization drops to around 15%. Thanks. |

Ok i deleted the 2 wiz files .. this allows sage to startup and show me the main menu but if i do anything, click live guide, click setup, it locks up and goes back to 100% cpu ?
I dont think i've touched its recordings on the network ? |

Sounds to me like you need to reassign your storage for your shows. If Sage can't find where to store the files it can cause lockups like that.

You may have video on menu display assigned?
Would need to disable that in the properties file. Not too sure. Maybe cut the properties file and save it elsewhere (including properties backup file). This will trigger a new setup of tuners and channels. If that works try moving the wiz.bin files back to the sage directory and see if everything works after that. Patrick
