Hauppauge and the news of Google's purchase

So how do we all feel our investment in Hauppauge technology will be dealt with in the future? It was obvious that Sage was helping to solve problems between Sage software and all things Hauppuage.
Hauppauge wasn't usually as swift to respond to problems.
Does this mean that any problems we now have with HD-PVR and Colossus will last forever?
That would be a shame.
Is it possible that Hauppauge will focus its' support on products that didn't shut down in the last day or so (SageTV), and tweak things to work with active products as a first priority, with little regard for keeping things running on Sage?

I haven't bought a Colossus as I have two HD-PVRs that work fine and that is all I need in terms of HD tuners for now. But if I bought a Colossus and I was counting on Sage to eventually get it to work in SageTV then I would be worried as we don't know if Google is at all interested in making sure that all of the latest hardware works in the product, especially products like these that exploit the "analog hole" and are not liked by media companies. You still have to wonder why these products (ie - capture cards with component or HDMI inputs) are still only made by Hauppauge after so many years.

Honestly I could care less about the analog hole as long as long as I can play content I record in HD from the channels I pay the rather evil cable company good money for. I think the colossus I have is a rather clumsy hack because various evil media companies won't let me record straight digital to a PC. Every one of us here would gladly dump those kludgy analog capture cards for something that takes cable cards (or whatever). If anybody can make that happen it would be google—they have far more of a political pull than SageTV could ever amass.

I guess my point is, Google has the political "mass" to bring what we know of as SageTV to a different level.

Course will it be anything us tinkerers find interesting remains the question :-)
