I'm still pondering if I want to reconfigure my firewall to give this a shot, but afaik SageTV doesn't look to support IPv6?

Do you mean extenders, placeshifters or client to server?
As long as one's PC's OS supports IPv6, which your server and client do since they are both Win7, then won't Sage just run on top of your network? In this configuration isn't Sage somwhat network agnostic?
