Unable to connect to BMT...HTTP Status 404
Hello,
For the past couple of days I have been trying to use my browser to connect to my BMT. I keep getting: HTTP Status 404 - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- type Status report message description The requested resource () is not available. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 9.0_01 I have tried http://localhost:8080 (& 8888)/bmt; http://192.168.x.xx:8080/bmt; I have tried IE9; Firefox & chrome. Have restarted the server in the Sage TV settings as well as SageTVServiceControl. Now I am uninstalling all the plugins & am going to try that. I am using a fresh (maybe a month or so old) install of SageTV 7 with the latest beta firmware, I think. It's version: SageTV v7.1.7.254. I am going nuts with this lol! I know I can get it to work because I used to use it prior to reinstalling. Although that was about 6 months ago. Another thing that is happening is when I run the SageTV software on my Desktop (win7 64bit Svc Pack 1) it is laggy as hell. It always has been very very laggy. When I run it on my HD300 its fine, hardly ever have a problem. I did have an issue about 3 months ago with my Java software where I had to uninstall it all and had a helluva time getting it reinstalled & working so I could even use the SageTVControlService at all. My suspicion is it will be something simple that I am missing. Forgot to mention: I did & have been clearing my browser's cache each time I try to connect to BMT. Any ideas???? HELP!!! The Sun app server is already running on the port that Jetty is configured on. By default that's 8080.
Either stop the Sun server or change Jetty's port in its configuration screen in the SageTV Plugin Manager. Then restart SageTV.

Woo Hoo!
That did it, heh, I should have thought of that, I changed the Jetty server to 8888 & used that instead & it seems to be working like a charm. Also my SageTV seems to be running a bit less laggy now that ended up uninstalling all my plugins, heh.
Thank you!! |
