Live TV auto Watched recordings - Work around needed

OK, not sure IF it can be done (probably not) but I'm sure I'm not the first to have the following situation. IF there is a workaround it would definitely help my WAF factor and I'd be deeply appreciative.

Finally hooked up the MBR to Sage (getting rid of last VCR )

Situation is that the Wife tends to have the TV on while doing tasks/chores and therefore catches some of the show and misses other parts. Some of these shows she has set up to record so she can review/watch stuff she has missed.

Problem of course is for those shows which were set up to record are automatically being marked as Watched because of Live TV.

This then means that later, when she goes to check, not sure which ones she has actually gone thru and have left for me to watch later, and which were marked as Watched just because Live TV was on.

Any thoughts/suggestions? or am I just SOL?

This has nothing to do with the fact that it's live TV. The same thing happens if you get distracted or fall asleep while watching a recorded program.

What you want is an option to have it prompt you at the end of a program (live or recorded) before marking it Watched. This would certainly be possible with a plugin, but I don't know offhand if such a plugin exists.

Totally understand.

But that still doesn't stop the "I don't want to hear that" WAF comments.

Still trying to wrap my head around alternatives. Got a couple in mind but they get the "I don't want to ..." comments also. <sigh>
