Not sure if this is a Diamond/Phoenix or BMT question…

I love these addon’s to SaveTV… Makes for great browsing with the grand kids to find the movie they want – a real plus is as fast as they can change their minds I can change the video! Sometimes we go through 8-10 before settling on the one they want. These kids are in the range of 2-8 and are not allowed to choose on their own, an adult must be present when choosing a video to watch.

I have recorded several “kids” movies from TV and moved them into my servers movie folder which also contains ripped DVD’s and such. This is done to know where they are for easy/fast access.

I have the kids’ movies in the category of “Family” that way we can limit what they see and have to choose from. I have come upon a problem with BMT (I think).

Many times the movie comes up with the category of “Movie/Family/other category” so I go into BMT to remove “Movie” from the category line leaving just “Family” but once saved and reopened Movie is back at the first of the line. It appears Diamond only reads the first entry on the category line.

Is there a way to keep BMT from adding the category of “Movie”?

I doubt that BMT is re adding the Movie genre, unless you are telling bmt to rescan the file??

If this is a recording, then that Genre may be embedded in the file itself and sagetv is simply re-applying the genre.

Will Diamond still just use the First Category (ignoring Movie) or will it check all the categories?

i.e
Movie ABC = Action/Science Fiction
Movie XYZ = Science Fiction/Action

So in Category view, ABC would show in Action but not Science Fiction
and XYZ would show in Science Fiction but not Action.

Any plans so that both ABC & XYZ would show in both Action and Science Fiction?

It will check all when we fix it. or just first will be a option like it is now.
