Two Suggestions: Amazon Cloud and Deleted Folder
To SageTV,
I have two suggestions: 1) Amazon Cloud -- Allow SageTV to source music from the Amazon Cloud. It's a matter of time that all music will just sit out there on the fluffy cloud (still cracks me up that we call it the cloud). 2) Deleted Folder -- After you delete a show it moves to the deleted folder. I know it's not for everyone, so I would suggest to make it an option for those who want to use it. I like that it moves out of sight (to keep the Recordings folder clean) and if I want to recover it I know where to get it. Thanks, Matterw

cloud would be waste of sage resources
I'm not sure the cloud buys you anything but headaches for your media collection and a big price tag you won't like at the end of the month. Amazon charges based upon the amount of storage, through-put and actual reads / writes. If I am listening to music I don't want to worry about latency or performance or a meter running when I know the local storage will be up to the task.
If you want a listening service subscribe to a service that stores all music and charges you a monthly fee to access anything in their library. Why go through the hassle of ripping and storing in that case? Deleted folders are somewhat interesting. I for one would like to be able to add a tag to manage favorite recordings such as wife, kid's names or whatever and have search and sorting capabilities or a specific view. It's not however a feature that will sell more Sage licenses. If we want Sage to thrive long term they need to keep focusing on big bucket functionality like native netflix or whatever makes sense. |

Actually, there are three suggestions... It would be good to play YouTube playlists...
With respect to selling more --> IMHO, If you want to sell more SageTV IMHO, then make it plug and play such that it could be sold at Best Buy or any retailer. Something that anyone (not just computer savvy) can just go to the store, buy and plug in some wires...
