actually it is the ATI cyberlink or maybe just the cyberlink that was doing this
cannot remember which one is was
but I do think it is a decoder issue
sounds to be a Sage issue because I have used these decoders for a while and never had this problem before

also I think I get it with NVDVD
sounds like a gold release(SageV2) problem

I will try to submit a bug soon

Dan:
It's really simple. Go to your Sage group. Choose one of your commands like "Channel Up". Right click on it and choose "add command". Now with your new command highlighted go to the lower right and choose the O.S. tab. Click on the drop down and choose "Play wave". Go to the "Browse" button and find your sound. The latest Girder actually has a nice wav sound right there. Choose it and click on "Apply" -don't forget to click apply or it won't save what you just chose. Now right click on your command and choose "rename" and call it sound. Right click on it again and choose "Copy". Right click on the rest of your commands and "paste". Make sure you disable your device before you start so your task switching isn't active while you're doing this. It's pretty simple and in 5 minutes you should be done.

Special note: The following property change was suggested as a possible way to have SageTV give up focus when it is put to sleep:
Quote:
dispose_windows=true
DON'T USE IT! Or, if you do, note any problems immediately after the change and reset it to false if you encounter problems. See: Any attempt to sleep Sage results in ActiveMovie window, where it was finally noted that this setting was the culprit.

Bump....

Any word on if this will be fixed anytime soon, or a usable workaround.? It's a major pain to have to hit Alt+Tab everytime I sleep Sage so that Xlobby will get focus back.

thanks,
tsw

What remote are you using? Some others using the Hauppauge remote have simply added {alt}{tab} after the command to sleep SageTV.

I am also seeing this issue once in a while, although it is recoverable by just going back to the main menu and selecting the show again... the "mini" window seems to be the same size as the preview window but in the top-left corner.

Also, (not sure if it's related) I get masking of the edges when trying to change aspect ratio (maybe 5% of the time), meaning if I change from 4x3 (with pillar boxes on my 16:9 display) to 16x9 (full screen) the picture is stretched, but the pillar boxes remain and the edges of the picture are hidden until I go back into the menu and return to the program again...

any ideas?

I was going to look into Girder-izing this somehow this weekend leveraging stanger89's GML to trap the event where the sleep button is pushed. Have y'all tried that?

OK, so what's the deal with bringing this up so my client would do it too now?? This is the first time I ever saw this happen & I simply toggled full screen mode off & back on and then it was back to normal. Strange.

I'm using a Sony VL-900. I don't currently have a button set to sleep Sage, I navigate to the main menu and choose the Sleep option.

I could set up a button on the remote to sleep Sage and peform the Alt-Tab function (using girder). Or one to just perform the Alt-Tab when Sage doesn't return control. I was just hoping I wouldn't have too.

Thanks,
tsw
