Client did not find pre-installed JRE

I installed SageTV Client. This part went fine. At the end, it wanted to install the JRE. I already have this installed on my PC, so I cancelled it. When starting SageTV Client it says "Could not create JRM."

How do I "point" SageTV Client to the already installed JRE? Sun JRE (1.4.1_04)

When I installed Mozilla FireFox, it found the installed JRE just fine.

Thanks

Have you tried uninstalling all java installations (updates can leave the previous one still installed) and re-installing the latest one?

This was the first and only JRE installed on the PC since I rebuilt it 3 weeks ago.

Sort of. Same directory, different drive:
D:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_04

Everything else that I have installed that needs a JRE has been able to find it just fine. If I remember correctly, when installing the software, I did not have to 'browse' for it. The installers were able to find it just fine.

This is why I can't understand why SageTV Client was not able to find it...
