Moving SageTV install to new server

I am in the midst of migrating my installation to a new server I built. I am wondering if there are any tips or tricks to moving an installation?

All of my movie library is on m unraid server and I am in the midst of moving all my recordings to the unraid server but it looks like it is going to take a very long time.

Can I move the recordings later or will them not being where they belong screw up my wiz.bin?

Im trying to make this transition as seamless as possible so let me know if you have any good tricks.

I don't know if it will complicate things but I am going from Windows 2003 to Windows 7. I am hoping things will run better in windows 7.

Thanks!

Neil

The FAQ say not to move the sage.properties file but that seems insane to me. I have a ton of plugins and other modifications I would hate to lose. I have been running this installation for many many years and don't want to backtrack and reinstall everything fresh...

Any thoughts on this?

When installing hardware into a new computer devices won't necessarily have the same IDs that they had from the previous box. Using the old .properties file is a recipe for disaster. And the new plugin manager has that information in more places than just the .properties file. Do the install and configuration fresh on the new PC. You just need your wiz.bin.

That makes sense.

Where is guide data stored? Is that in the Wiz.bin? I really modified my guide quite a bit and really do not want to re-process it again.

Thanks,

Neil
