Stanger/kny/others: 1001 pardons for asking a Girder question here, but as it's tightly bound to Sage, perhaps you would know.
I can't even get a simple WindowsExists command to work correctly. I coded the WindowsExists, check for SageTVClient. When I "test command", it works fine all the time, correctly determining whether SageTVClient is there or not. My issue is when I don't hit the test command button, but rather sit back and let Girder do it's job. Regardless of whether SageTVClient is there or not, it reports "cannot find window" and disables the SageTV command group. On my WindowsExists target, I've tried pretty much every combo: Name = SageTV ChildName = sage.d Executable = SageTVClient.exe ChildClass = [can't read it - fuzzy 27" analog TV. I "drag me to target window" buttoned it, and it looks something like Sun...Canvas I tried checking "match invisible tasks". I randomly checked/unchecked those boxes to my hearts content, but no love on the monitoring when I switch back & forth beween windows - it just never actually sees SageTVClient, even when it's what I switched into. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? |

And, proving that I embody Murphy's law, I've been beating my head over this for hours and days [technically months, as I first tried your GML a long time back]. And minutes after posting the question, I find the answer.
I have a very fugly tree structure, didn't even notice a random "windows exists" command until just now. THAT'S the one reporting cannot find window, and it was from months ago when I was first playing with your GML and the target was disable_sageTV but it was flipped and in the wrong order. Hence, girder's top-down was probably enabling SageTV correctly with the command I typed today, then disabling it with my spurious command later down. So thanks anyway, it was the mere act of summoning courage to ask you guys that led me to my answer. |

Target for Sage Client in Girder: Name = SageWin ChildName = SageClientApp Executable = SageTVClient.exe And check "Match Invisible Tasks". Gerry

Special note: The following property change was suggested as a possible way to have SageTV give up focus when it is put to sleep:
