Scheduled recordings not occurring
What would prevent my recordings from occurring? They are marked as scheduled but never take place. Is there a log someplace that might explain why? I have 36gig free of 46gig available. Also when I use the client to view recordings there is intermittent lag (video/audio freeze). When I use explorer and play the recorded video on my client using windows media player it's perfect. RC3 had the same lag issues but at least recorded reliably. I have a gigabit network. The drives on the server are U320 and striped. Is the old sage version still available and will it continue to work with the TV guide? Thanks.

The server program is always asleep.
The client is only run when I want to watch something (which is usually a prerecorded show) and I usually end it by sleeping and then an immediate Exit SageTV. There currently aren't any snippets of programs in my video directory (as examined by windows explorer). I'm not running any firewall software. The server and clients are protected from the internet by a hardware firewall. The lag occurrs on both a desktop and a laptop. And both play just fine by directly playing the file over the network. If there isn't any diagnostic trail that I can follow I guess I'll just have to resort to trial and error. Thanks |
